Botanical Description:
A large tree cultivated in tropical and Mediterranean climates. It bears the avocado fruit with a greenish or yellowish flesh with a buttery consistency and rich, nutty taste.

Directions for Use:
Body / Skincare:
A thick, intensely rich & nourishing oil that delivers deep into the skin. Add 10-25% as a ‘booster’ to oil blends. It can be applied direct to the skin, or blended with essential oils for an aromatic body or massage oil.
Haircare:
Superb hair conditioner. Nourishes & strengthens hair, improving overall health & protects from further damage. Massage into scalp to prompt blood flow to hair follicles, encouraging new growth & a glossy shine. Helps remove dandruff.
DIY / Tips:
Great for softening brittle nails or tough/dry skin on heels & elbows.
Tip: This oil may naturally solidify when cold: Aqua Oleum recommend warming the bottle in a bowl of warm water before use.
Skin Types:
Suitable for mature, dry & sun-damaged skin. Particularly suited to very dry or parched skin conditions.

Nutritional Value:
Contains a very high concentration of monounsaturated fatty acids (especially oleic acid), Vitamin E & other antioxidants.
It also contains Vitamin A, D, B1 B2,pantothenic acid, lecithin, lutein, chlorophyll & high levels of potassium.

Production:
This oil is derived from the flesh (not the kernel) of the fruit which is cold-pressed & filtered without the use of solvents.
By contrast, a chemical extraction process damages the natural fatty acids and significantly reduces the nutritional value of the oil.
A good quality oil should also contain a high proportion of wax.
