Sweet Revolution Organic Beetroot Latte with Ginger Barista Blend

Beetroot can be traced back to the Ancient Greeks, who cultivated beetroot and used the root as an offering to the Sun God Apollo in the temple of Delphi – they considered it to be worth its weight in silver! Today the juice is often used as a natural food colouring due to its vibrant colour and is an important part of Eastern European and Nordic cooking. Over the last few years, it has gained popularity with professional athletes who consume beetroot juice before competing.

This latte mix combines beetroot juice powder with unrefined coconut nectar, a little raw cacao powder, and a touch of ginger to create a delicious alternative latte.

Organic Raw Cacao Powder:
Sweet Revolution uses the finest quality Criollo cacao from the beautiful rainforests of Peru. The cacao is farmed without agrochemicals by farmers working in a co-operative which supports the local economy. The Criollo bean represents only 5% of the world’s cacao production and is very high quality, aromatic and lacking in bitterness. The beans are minimally processed at low temperatures to preserve these natural characteristics.

Organic Ground Ginger:
It is used in Sweet Revolution's recipe as a flavour enhancer and compliments the beetroot wonderfully.

Organic Raw Crystallised Coconut Nectar:
Sweet Revolution has sweetened this latte with a little unrefined coconut nectar as the sweetener in its lattes. This unique sugar alternative comes from the sweet nectar of coconut blossom and has a rich nutritional content. It also has a much lower GI than regular refined white sugar and much more interesting, almost caramel, flavour.

Sweet Revolution's Barista Blends are designed to be added to steamed milk, either dairy or non-dairy.
