Nori furikake is the simplest version of the blend — roasted seaweed, sesame, and salt form the base, with a small amount of sugar to balance the saltiness and yeast extract for depth. No artificial flavour enhancers, no preservatives, nothing that doesn't belong.
The nori is dry-roasted before blending, which develops a toasted, almost nutty depth that you don't get from raw seaweed. It's the same technique used for high-grade nori sheets — Emma Basic just mills it finer so it coats every grain of rice.
