Curcuma Longa has been used in Ayurvedic medicine and healing and it is now gaining popularity as a food supplement. Curcumin is the active compound in Turmeric Powder, which is known for its reputed anti-inflammatory properties amongst other things. The Curcuminoids are what provides the distinctive yellow colour in both Curcumin and Turmeric Powder.”
