Botanical Description:
Dunaliella is a unique unicellular species of green micro-algae harvested from the Dead Sea containing rich concentrations of carotenoids (mainly Beta-Carotene), antioxidants & essential vitamins. It is called ‘Carrot Oil’ due to its rich content of carotenoids. Should not be confused with carrot seed essential oil (Daucus Carota) from the common vegetable plant.

Directions for Use:
Body / Skincare:
Carrot oil is ideal for regenerative skin care. This oil can be applied direct to the skin, or blended with essential oils for an aromatic body or massage oil.
Haircare:
Add 10-25% as a ‘booster’ to oil / scalp conditioning blends.
DIY / Tips:
Apply before sun exposure: it protects against UV radiation, slows down ageing, cell degradation & helps treat age spots. NOTE: Do not use as alternative to safe sun protection.
Skin Types:
Suitable for mature, dry & sun-damaged skin. Carrot oil helps restore UV damaged skin.

Nutritional Value:
Very rich concentrations of carotenoids (mainly Beta-Carotene), which gives it a characteristic rich orange-red colour.
Also contains antioxidants, glycerol & essential vitamins, especially B12, C & E.

Production:
Extracted from a Sea Algae found in salt fields & is infused & filtered without the use of solvents in a sunflower base.
