Emma Basic Roasted Black Sesame Seeds 150g
Nutty, deep. Sprinkle over salads, noodles, and baked goods.
About
Black vs white: what's actually different.
Black and white sesame seeds come from the same plant. The difference is the hull: black seeds keep theirs, white seeds have it removed. The hull on black sesame contains higher concentrations of antioxidants and gives a more intense, slightly bitter, earthier flavour.
Toasting deepens everything. Emma Basic dry-toasts to order rather than pre-toasting in bulk, which means they reach you at peak flavour. Use them wherever you want visual contrast and a more pronounced sesame note — black sesame on pale food is one of the most satisfying garnishes there is.
