Meridian Date Syrup is a richly flavoured concentrate of pure Date Syrup which contains no additives or preservatives and is an excellent natural sweetener.

Meridian Date Syrup being a liquid, can be used as a direct replacement for Maple syrup, Golden Syrup, Barley Malt Extract or Honey. When replacing sugar with date syrup there is more trial and error required. As a starting point try cup date syrup = 1 cup sugar although you will have to reduce the amount of liquid in the recipe slightly too.

Meridian Date Syrup can be used to make flapjacks and cakes, flavour ice cream, yoghurt or muesli. Mix in equal proportions with Meridian Tahini to make a delicious spread.
