those wonderful warm smells of mince pies and mulled wine mixed in with the aroma of cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and the great camphor-like flavours of cloves.
Steenbergs created its unique premium Organic Mixed Spice in 2003 when it started out. Its concept is traditional British baking and it works for a wide range of sweet treats.
It's core is 2 types of cinnamon: True Cinnamon from Sri Lanka for its citrus, woody warmth and Cassia Cinnamon for its perfumed sweet flavours. To this, Steenbergs adds nutmeg, allspice, clove, ginger and cardamom, giving a deep spiciness from camphorous clove to warm ginger. This is pulled together with organic coriander powder that melds everything together.
Guide for use: 2 tsp for 1 cup of flour when weighing out dry ingredients.
