Tropical Wholefoods Organic Sun Dried Pineapple 100g

This dried pineapple is made from Smooth Cayenne pineapples from Uganda and Kenya. Once fully ripe, the pineapples are hand-sliced and dried. The flavour is sweet and zingy. 30g of sun dried pineapple makes up one of your 5 a day portions of fruit, and is a source of fibre. A great addition to healthy lunchboxes, and to take walking or camping. Because it is dried at temperatures lower than 42°C, dried pineapple is suitable for a raw food diet.

Equal Exchange is inspired by its partners, Vert Limited, a forward-thinking agricultural company from Kenya. Their focus is to build a fairer food system that uplifts smallholder farmers, champions women's participation in agribusiness, and protects the planet through responsible farming. Founded in 2000, Vert has grown into a leader in Kenya's horticulture sector, producing and exporting high-quality fresh produce and processed fruit products including dried pineapple, fruit purees, and fresh vegetables. They work with over 5,000 smallholder farmers across Kenya's rural counties, and into Uganda to gain access to international markets and reliable income opportunities.
