What:
Primitivo grapes. Meaning the little early one in Italian, thanks to its ability to ripen early in the season, Primitivo is grown widely in Puglia, where the hot climate gives rich, smooth and very fruity wines.
Taste & Smell:
Beware the quiet ones, this starts soft and ends up the life and soul. Expect plums.

Southern Italy, with vineyard sites on the Murge plateau and some close to the Ionian sea in Puglia.
