How Mutti Cherry Tomatoes are Made
Selected at peak ripeness:
Mutti's cherry tomatoes undergo a rigorous selection process, to assess colour, ripeness and overall quality. They are then gently washed, ensuring only the finest tomatoes continue their journey, preserving their delicate texture and consistency.
A Touch of Velvety Passata:
The selected cherry tomatoes are placed whole into the can. Then a small amount of creamy Mutti Passata is added to complement the tomatoes' natural juiciness without taking away from their sweet, distinctive character.
Filled, Sealed & Gently Pasteurised:
Each 400g can holds around 20–35 whole cherry tomatoes. Once filled and sealed, the cans are pasteurised for about an hour at 90°C, preserving the tomatoes and their bright flavour until they are ready to reach your kitchen.

Storage conditions:
Store Mutti whole Cherry Tomatoes at room temperature in a cool, dry place. Once opened keep refrigerated and consume within 5 days.

Add Cherry Tomatoes towards the end of cooking to allow them to warm through and soften naturally. For a more rustic sauce, lightly crush a few tomatoes as they simmer so juices blend while some remain whole.
