About
Cooks&Co Dried Porcini Mushrooms are naturally grown outdoors in open air forests, where they develop their signature earthy aroma and rich umami depth. Carefully dried to preserve their flavour, they’re your secret ingredient for adding woodland richness to risottos, pasta, soups and sauces.
Naturally rich in fibre, minerals and antioxidants, porcini are one of nature’s nutrient-packed gifts, bringing depth and character to every dish.
For best results, soak the mushrooms in cold water for 4 to 6 hours, or even overnight, to fully rehydrate and bring out a firmer texture with deeper, more complex flavour.
If you are in a hurry, cover with boiling water and leave for 20 to 30 minutes for a softer bite and milder taste.
Use the strained soaking liquid as a natural mushroom stock to add body and aroma to your dishes.
As a natural product, porcini mushrooms may shrink slightly over time, but this does not affect their quality, flavour or performance in cooking.
Cooks&Co is your helping hand in the kitchen, bringing trusted produce from the sea, the farm and the forest, expertly preserved for the store cupboard, ready for when inspiration strikes. Let’s cook!
