About

Rich, smooth and deeply comforting — without the caffeine. Malty sweetness and mellow chocolate notes create a full-bodied cup with gentle acidity and a velvety mouthfeel. Rounded and satisfying rather than heavy, it delivers the familiar warmth of Machu Picchu with a soft, lingering finish, whatever the time of day.

Simona Says (Coffee Quality Lead):
"This is a decaf with real depth: smooth chocolate and malty sweetness give it a rich, full-bodied character, while gentle acidity keeps the cup balanced. The finish is soft, rounded and reassuringly familiar — all the comfort, without the caffeine."

Single origin:
Machu Picchu, Peru
High on the south-eastern slopes of the Andes, up to 2,200m above sea level, the region’s biodiversity and climate make it perfect for growing Arabica coffee.

Strength 4:
Medium-dark roast
Rich and full-bodied, with deeper flavours and a smooth, satisfying finish.

Living income reference price:
Cafédirect is working with Fairtrade towards paying Living Income Reference Prices for the coffee it buys from farmer cooperatives. Cafédirect is the first UK-based coffee company to do this, as part of its goal for farmers to earn enough for a decent standard of living.

B Corp:
Cafédirect was the UK’s first coffee company to become B Corp certified – independently assessed against high standards for its impact on people and the planet.

Fairtrade:
Fairtrade helps make trade fairer for coffee farmers, with price protection and extra Fairtrade Premium to invest in their farms, businesses and communities.

Cooperative growers:
Huadquiña is a small cooperative near Santa Teresa in Cusco, Peru. Its 288 farmers — 23% of them women — grow coffee at extreme altitude close to Machu Picchu. Cafédirect has worked with Huadquiña since 1994, supporting training, investment and long-term sales.
