Selecting only the best tomatoes:
Ripe tomatoes are carefully selected and washed. Then heated to over 90°C and centrifuged to separate the juice from skins, seeds and pulp. The juice is gradually concentrated, becoming a rich double concentrated tomato paste.
Adding the best ingredients and aromas:
The concentrated tomato is blended with the other ingredients in the Mutti recipe, bringing sweetness, acidity and seasoning into balance while keeping tomato at the heart of the flavour.
Quality, sealed in:
The ketchup is then heated, pasteurised and bottled, ready to bring its smooth texture and generous tomato character to the table.
